Software Test Engineer £23K to £35K big name company in Bucks or Cambridge
Software Test Engineer required to work on a range of software products from executing complex test plans to recommending corrective action.
You should be an existing test engineer or a recent computer science graduate with some industry experience but you must have a passion for testing; be enthusiastic; and be focused on working to develop, apply and maintain the highest quality standards.
You should have a keen eye for detail, good documentation skills and be a team player.
Essential knowledge or experience includes:
· Significant Test Engineering experience or a desire to work in a Test environment
· Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 9X, Windows 2003 Server, Windows CE Administration
· UNIX (esp. Solaris, Linux, AIX, HP-UX)
· Networking Administration (DNS, WINS, NIS, Active Directory, NDS, WMI, SNMP)
Experience of the following would also be beneficial: Citrix products and technologies; leadership in a senior position; Test Automation; Skills and Scripting Tools (WinRunner, Perl, VB Script); Test Management Systems (Test Director); WEB technologies (Javascript, ActiveX); Network Management Systems (MOM, NetView, OpenView, Unicenter); Databases (SQL Server, Oracle); Security (SSL, TLS)
This role is based in Buckinghamshire or Cambourne (nr Cambridge) and is offering a salary of £23K to £35K dependent on experience plus excellent benefits.
